"Its a nifty idea. Basically it seems that they want to make a few nickels off of getting frustrated users to give money to their helper geek's favorite cause. Affero makes penny fractions on the dollar that makes up for their overhead, the cause gets free cash, and the geek gets /.-esque karma points that will appeal to a lot of people's sense of competition. This interface enables the display of up-to-date details of the standings and activity for individuals and communities. The technical documentation describes accessing this information in XML or HTML format. See examples of how these can be used in your website, blog or forum. LinuxQuestions, a forum for GNU/Linux newbies, is using Affero's web services interface to provide status on their weekly tech support contest.
